Family Pictures!

So i was just browsing through my post and found that I never published this one. Ha ha it's from December. I swear i'm losing it. I'm gong to blame it on my kid. lol Well here it is. December 9th post.

Sorry it's been so long. December just has a way of filling up so fast. It's hard to take time to just enjoy the season. We had a great Thanksgiving. Me and Seth ventured down to Utah to visit family. While Dad stayed behind to work. It was great to see every one and Seth did really good with the traveling. We had fun but were diffidently ready to come home to see Dad.

I finished my christmas cards today Yeah! I just have to stamp and mail them. And only four gifts left to buy and four left to finish making. I'm so proud of how on top of everything I've been this year.

We got our family pictures done! Yay! They turned out so cute. My friend Cyndi Lambertson took them down at Kathryn Albertsons park. She was really good with the baby and with my siblings and shes not over priced. So if you need pictures in the Boise area I'll get you her number.

Twin Again

Due to an unexpected baby blessing we found our selfs in Twin Falls this weekend. Again :) We had a great time. Our friends James and Rebecca Gayer blessed their beautiful baby girls Heather Auym Gayer. Brad had the privilege to stand in the blessing circle. Man does she have a head of hair.
Here are some pictures of our trip. We brought Eliza and Delan with us. They claimed the needed a vacation. I think they just wanted to get away from my parents. :) The Pictures are backwards and I can't figure out how to fix that without completely reloading all of them ( which I'm to lazy to do) So just know that they start from the way home. Heres Seth already for the long trip back to Boise, thankfully he sleep the whole way.

We got to go slack-lining with James and Becca on Sunday. It was fun as you can see Seth is going to be a natural. Once he learns hoe to walk that is.

Snap Dizzle! I love this picture. Aren't you to young to be giving me that kind of aditutde.
His futures so bright he's got to wear shades. :)
What a Hottie! Look familiar ^
Every time we go to Twin I ask Brad about the alligator at Miracle Hot Springs. I never believed the signs. Well this time he stopped and here is the prof. There really are alligators! Three of them to be correct.
Seth was impressed.
Oh my! It's going to get me!
Love Seth's face
And there is our trip back to front, but oh well. We had a great time. It's always a treat to see our family and friends. Love ya :)

The Amazing Dancing Baby!!

Seth loves Music! Anytime he hears Delan start playing his guitar he wants to go listen. Seth loves showing off his dance moves also. Here is a short glimpse of my rock star child. :) Love that kid!

Old Dads, Tsunami, and Tears!

The title of this post basically describes the last three days and not in the ways you might guess. So for starters one Thursday night we found out Brads dad Jim becoming a high priest on Sunday. Yeah! He was called to serve as the High Priest Secretary in his ward. We are supper excited for him. He was begging to feel a bit old in elders quorum. So we made a last minute trip to Twin this weekend to be there when he was set apart.

Saturday we woke with a call from my mother in-laws sister who lives in Hawaii. Letting us now that they were okay, but heading to higher ground. So we had the weather channel on all day listening for updates about the pending tsunami. Thankfully everyone was okay and there house didn't flood. Its good to know they were prepared had there been any real danger.

We had a great time in Twin none the less. We played double rounds of Killer Bunnies, Manila, and discovered a new favorite O.J. Along with lots of fun games we went out to Golden Coral were Seth ate a whole plate of mashed potatoes. Man that kid can eat. I don't understand how the charts and the doctors say he's under weight.

So now the tears. This morning Seth pulled himself to a standing position on one of our kitchen stools, which of course fell on him. He cried huge crocodile tears. When I picked him up to comfort him. There was blood. That scared me. He's never bled before, I was for sure we would be taking a trip to the Doctors office. He was so upset and there was a lot of blood so i couldn't tell were the blood was coming from. After he officially covered me with tears, snot and blood. I was able to tell that he had cut his gum on the stool. Luckily it didn't hit his tooth. He calmed down and i got him some Motrin. Which help a lot. He was back to his regular self within a couple hours, but still scary. It's a whole new experience when its your child bleeding. I'm sure this is all just an over reaction, because he's my first, but I have that right as a new mom.

So theres our weekend in a nutshell. Brads dads getting old, no flooding in Hawaii, and my first experience blood.

The Valentines Day Gift!

So for the past couple months my dad has been trying to convince us that we need a dog. After match talking and coxing from the rest of the family Brad and I decide it would be fun to have a family dog for Seth to grow with. So the search began!
It was something that wasn't high on are to do list, but when we found time we would look on craigs list. So to set the stage for what unfolds next. Its the Wednesday before Valentines Day. I had a rough day and when Brad got home, was looking trough the dog listing on craigs list. and there it was the most perfect dog. Her name was Daisy she was completely trained and beautiful. I got so excited I made Brad read the add and everything. Brad didn't seem to excited and I couldn't figure out why.
Well thats when he told me that he had an appointment Thursday to pick up a puppy from a coworker for me as a surprise present for Valentines. WOW! That hit me from no where. I didn't know what to do or say he said the choice was mine since it was my gift. Boy did I feel bad. He had everything all lined up, but I really didn't want a puppy. They are so much work. After expressing these feelings to Brad he decided it would be best to get an older dog. So the next day I called on Daisy and she already had a home :( So Brad's feeling bad cause he can't surprise me and i'm feeling bad cause i ruined the surprise.
So the search began again! On Monday I found a beautiful chocolate lap on craigs list. The family bought a house that had no yard and had to get rid of him. So we went to check him out and fell in love. His name was Brodie . He is a year and a half old chocolate lab and Seth loves him. He still needs a little training, but we feel that after all we went through to get him it was ment to be. So here he is the newest member of the Horting Family. Brodie!!

Long time no post!

It has been like 4 month since my last post. Life gets busy! Thats an understatement. Well here is a catch up. Our holidays were great. Seth and I went to Orem with my family for Thanksgiving. Brad had to stay behind to work so he could have Christmas off. It was rough being apart, but I'm glad that he let me go. Christmas eve morning we opened gifts with my family before departing for Twin Falls to spend Christmas with Brads family. We were very blessed and received many wonderful gifts. The best gift we gave was a home made calender we made for Brads parents with pictures of us. Our New was spent with our friends Zakk and Cyndi, we played (Brads favorite) Halo, and Catain. It was a great way to bring in the new year. Shortly after the first of the year we celebrated our Second wedding anniversary. Were does time go. Two years! It's passed with much trail and tears, but also great and endless happiness. As Brad so sweetly told me, "The best decision I've ever made and never regretted". I couldn't have said it any better myself. We had the chance to go to 1000 Springs resort and swim. It was a blast Seth loved the water. I'm so looking forward to buying a season pass to the pool this summer. It is with in walking distance so i'm wanting to go several times a week. Yes we are still in Boise and living with my parents. We are really enjoying being here. The little sacrifices we give up to be here are greatly rewarded by the several pluses. For instance I don't remember the last time i had to cook dinner, :) we always have a babysitter, and I'm usually not home alone. Which is always a plus for me. Here is a run down of how we are all doing individually.

Seth is almost 9 months now. Time flies. He has 4 almost 5 teeth, crawls and is learning how to walk from object to object. He loves playing with his Aunts and Uncles. He is really benefiting from living with some many different people. He is a SOCIAL baby! He may still be spoiled rotten, but he doesn't suffer from only child syndrome.

Brad was hired from his temp position to a full time Hewlett Packard Employee. YEAH! Which comes with full benefits and paid holidays. What a blessing. The Lord truly does provide. Brad is enjoying being able to speak French on a regular basis and gets along well with his caleges. He is still drawing in his free time. his latest adventure has been Photoshop CS4. Which for all of you who are lost to what that is. (Including me) It is a version of Photoshop that you draw with. He is getting really good at it and just finished a sketch of Batman.

I'm doing while also. I am really enjoying being a stay at home mom. At times it can get over whelming, but I love it! I get out of cooking dinner by washing, folding, and putting away laundry twice a week. Which is something I don't mind at all. One of the benefits Brad gets that i'm really looking forward to is the Oasis center. The oasis canter is a photo center at HP where employees get to print photos. For Free! We can get anything from a 2x3 to a 40x30 canvas print. I'm excited I have all my scrap booking supplies organized and ready. This should get the fever going again.

Well this is us. Hopefully I can be more consistent with my post. Heres hoping! :)
