October 15th ( the day before my birthday) an unexpected trip to the hospital with contractions at 27 weeks led to a shorten cervix. Which landed me on moderate bed rest. After 4 weeks of bed rest on the 19th of November at a routine Dr. appointment I was 2 cm dilated and 70 % effaced. So then came the meds and strict bed rest. On the Tuesday the 23rd after a rough night on not sleeping we went in and I was 4cm and 75% effaced. So they admitted me to the hospital and gave me a steroid shot to help develop the twins lungs. Wednesday the Dr. on call told me to go home off bed rest and wait for labor. As you can imagine only being 32 weeks this was really scary I did not want to have the boys in the NICU. And since it was a holiday the same dr. was on call all weekend. This crazy Dr. had me in tears I was so worried. His bedside manner was awful. So we went home. After being home for only a few hours I deiced to call the down town St. Lukes for a Second opinion. They Nurse I talked to was shocked that the other Dr. had sent me home and told me to come down town right away. When we got here we saw the in house Dr. ( who I love) she checked me and i was already 5cm. I was so glad I deiced to come back in. She deiced it was best for me to stay in the hospital were they could keep an eye on my contractions. So this is were i'm now. They keep me up on lots of meds to stop the contractions. The Dr. wants me to try to make it at least till the 4th which will be 34 weeks. The good news is that the twins are healthy and doing awesome. So now we are just waiting and counting everyday as a success.
In the midst of all this craziness we closed ion our house this week. Yeah! I'm so excited to bring the boys home to my dream home. The only sad thing is nothings set up. Brad is doing the best he can to get things ready what a sweet man.
Seth is doing well. HE's enjoying all the Grandma time he's getting.
